Reading the comments made me a little sad and disappointed. As a minor Overlord fan, I really enjoyed the anime and even bought the entire light novel series for few years. So I recently joined the community. I'm a little sad that the author appears to be burnt out, so the ending may not be as good as I expected.

Heck at least he's gonna end the story for us instead of just never finishing it and dropping the story part way through like some other authors have done to their stories when they just don't feel
Overlord is an anime series based on the light novel series of the same name written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. On May 8, 2021, a fourth season was announced with the staff and cast members returning to reprise their roles. It aired from July 5 to September 27, 2022. The opening theme is "HOLLOW HUNGER" by OxT while the ending theme is "No Man's Dawn" by Mayu Maeshima.
The last Japanese light novel (14) came out March 2020. We do not know how or if the story will end. Any information regarding release date is posted in the news section here. If the author does not give up, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume the LN won't be done for another 3 years at the earliest.
